ASTRON excursion

ASTRON is the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy, ASTRON is part of the institutes organisation of NWO. Our mission is to make discoveries in radio astronomy happen. They do this by developing new and innovative technologies, operating world-class radio astronomy facilities, and pursuing fundamental astronomical research.

On the 24th of March, we will go to ASTRON in Dwingeloo to look at their facilities. We will get an explanation of their work by Mark Bentum and Michel Arts, which will also include a guided tour at their buildings.

We will depart from the university at 9:30 sharp from P6 parking place Flux and will be back at 17:30. Lunch will be included in the excursion.

The excursion is free for members. Non-members will have to pay for transportation, which will not be higher than 15 euros. Do note that becoming a member is cheaper and can be done by clicking here!

We only have 30 places available, so subscribe in time via this link!

The subscriptions close on the 20th of March. This is also the last date to unsubscribe without any additional costs. After this, a cost of 15 euro's will be charged.
