TU/e - vacancy student advisor

 
As a student advisor, you are representing students of both Electrical Engineering and Automotive Technology within the department at the department board level to maintain and improve the quality of the department. 

As a student advisor, you join a whole range of meetings within the department. You’ll have a weekly meeting with the department board, and about once a month a meeting with the Program Committee EE, the Department Council and the Management Platform. Besides this, you are in close contact with the StudentBody of Electrical Engineering to keep a close view on how courses are being experienced by students and to ensure this feedback is taken into account within the department. 

The amount of hours these tasks take deviate between 3 and 8 hours per week. But, on average, you will spend around 5 hours week on the following main responsibilities: 

  • Preparing and participating in several meetings
  • Assuring the quality of the offered programs
  • Discussing courses from the Bachelor and Master
  • Discussing changes in the Bachelor and Master
  • Discussing the policy of the department
  • Resolving disagreements between students and professors
