As a part of the MyFuture week, Thor is organizing a career day with the Department of Electrical Engineering, introducing only first year EE&AT students to MyFuture, which is then followed by a program of career activities, which can be seen below:

10:30-11:00 -> Introductory Presentation MyFuture
11:00-12:30 -> LinkedIn Workshop (organized with the TU/e Career Academy)
12:30-13:15 -> Lunch Break (Lunch Provided)
13:15-14:15 ->  Company Talk by ASML

Attending this activity will give you 2  MyFuture points.

It is strongly advised for all first year students to attend, as this information is relevant to your graduation requirements! Additionally, to ensure this activity does not clash with lectures, the time this activity will occur will be education free, meaning that no lectures or other forms of education should occur during that time. 

 

On the 23rd and 24th of March, the 289th General Members Meeting of e.t.s.v. Thor will commence. The GMM will take place in Flux, Colloquim 6, will start at 18:00 o’clock, and will be suspended no later than 23:00 o’clock.

 Want to learn more about all the different things you can do at Thor? Then come join the committee market!

Joining a committee is a great way to advance important soft skills, from planning meetings, organizing calendar, or even organizing insane events. There are great opportunities to meet companies by helping organize lunch lectures with Kvasir, or organizing study trips abroad such as the BuEX or ReisCo. Joining Volundr means you can also make workshops such as the PCB design or soldering, or even learn how to use the 3D printer. There are also opportunities to learn to DJ by joining the DisCo, organizing the TesLAN with the LANCo, designing Thor merch with Fenrir, fixing computer bugs with the CoCo,and so much more, the possibilities are endless.

Join to learn even more and meet all of the committees that Thor offers to continue to be active! Of course, our wonderful FoodCo will be presenting their skills with free lunch, so be sure to drop by!

 This year to show our appreciation to our Benefactors, we have a fun day planned! During this day the Benefactors, kandies and students can get to know each other and participate in fun activities! 

Our planning:
11:00-13:00-Bike to the climbing forest and have lunch on our way there
13:00-15:00-Climbing forest
15:00-17:00-Group bonding games and having a drink outside on our way back
17:00-19:00-Drink in Het Walhalla
19:30-21:00- Dinner

Make sure to also sign up for the dinner!

The Benefactors dinner will be at an Italian restaurant: Sicilila Eindhoven.

 Make sure to also subscribe to the activity if you want to join both the activity and the dinner. For the dinner you of course do not have to be in Het Walhalla the whole time, but you are more than welcome to! Make sure to bring a bike to get to the restaurant! The dinner will be invoiced afterwards. 

 On the second day of the GMM we will get food from Happie 040, this is a restaurant on campus!
They will make a pasta with salmon, spinach and boursin sauce.
Make sure to  order before 15:00 on de 23rd of March, because they need to know our order one day in advance! 

They also serve a veggie option with vegetarian 'chicken' pieces instead of salmon! Make sure to select the vegetarian box for this option.
