Hoist the sails and prepare the rum for come the 28 o' November, Captain Thor be celebratin' his 68th voyage around the sun! With the special theme this year, 'Seas the Day'!

The week of Monday the 24th of November until Friday the 28th will be an action packed week all matching the pirate theme. From the big Dies party to a weekly treasure hunt, check this activity overview to see what to expect.  See which adventures ye can join — and mayhaps it be all of ’em! Until we meet upon the seas o’ Dies Week!

"Pie Hoist on Deck!" (Pie reception): The kick off for the Dies week is of course an opening speech featuring some pie on the first floor of Flux during lunch time. Make sure to attend to enjoy some pie!

"Pre-Grog Captain's Feast" (Dinner before the cantus): Of course, a long night on drinking has to be prepared. For those attending the Cantus activity, be sure to grab some grub on the long table in Flux Floor 6 at 18:00!

"Tavern Shanties!" (Cantus): If ye can hold a tune -- or at least mug o' rum -- then join the cantus! This year, we will be singing sea shanties at Club Bold, brace yourselves for a bit of chaos and a proper ruckus (or maybe even a mutiny...)

"Swordmaster's School" (Fencing workshop): There is no piracy without cutlasses and duels! If you are interested in learning your best swordman skills, be sure to attend the Swordman's School!

"Buccaneer's Brews" (Cocktail Night): Tuesdays at Het Walhalla are famously known for their cocktails, which is why on the 25th of November there will be special pirate features. Try some famous 'Grog' to stay hydrated and prevent scurvy, or the other rum-infused drinks.

"Cinema o' the Seven Seas" (Movie Night): If you want a break from the rum, racket and raiding, then join the cinema where we will marathon all the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies.

"Voyage to Canon Island" (Excursion to Canon): Exploring the realm of Eindhoven and the world of technology, join the excursion to Canon Production Printing.

"Swig ye Piraat's Plunder!" (Piraat Beer Tasting): From its formation in 1988, the Piraat Ale was created by Van Steenberge brewery in tribute to the ales drank by seafaring sailors in the 17th and 18th centuries. Come to learn of the rich history between ale and pirates, as well as tasting this rich, flavorful beer. 

"The Hunt for the Seven Sea Scoundrels!": The party is going to start, but there are seven wanted pirates on the lose. The Navy has promised if all wanted pirates are found and in Het Walhalla before 17:00, there will be a free keg as a reward!

"68 Years Without the Plank!" (The Dies Party!): Het Walhalla is no longer just a bar tonight, but a ship traversing stormy seas with activities and ale for all. Join until 21:00, with promises of free beer, mutinies, plundering and the greatest battle of all: escaping the Navy!

"Brunch after the Mutiny" (Hangover Brunch): With a previous night of adventure and rum-runnin' revelry, come to Colloquium 6 Friday morning for a harty breakfast. From orange juice to scrambled eggs, everything needed to fix your hangover and prevent scurvy. There will also be games and sailing videos to enjoy a headache in the wind of the seven seas.

"The Old Sea Dog's Banquet" (The Oude Bokken Borrel): Former Board members of Thor and invited to reunite in Het Walhalla and celebrate the 68th Dies with the new Board!  Hoist yer mugs, meet yer old captains of Thor, and trade in yer grog fer a sip o’ the finest Bokma!

"Legendary Feast o' 68 Years" (Dies Dinner): All good things come to an end, but with one last celebration there is the wonderful Dies Dinner. This year at 'De IJzeren Man', there is a full buffet and open bar all night, make sure to attend!
