PlantLab - Technical Talent Program - Next Generation of Growers

Tech Talent Program - Next Generation of Growers

PlantLab is growing fast! Will you be growing with us? We currently produce fresh food worldwide in our indoor farms, which we design, develop and build ourselves. For the development of our Plant Production Units (PPUs), we use a combination of both plant and technical knowledge. With this revolutionary and patented technology we’re on our way to building a more sustainable food chain. To support our (international) growth we are looking for a group of technical trainees who will contribute to the way we build the farms of the future. With your Tech Talent group you work on large and challenging questions within PlantLab regarding sustainability and circularity. You’ll get the chance to work on three different projects within our technical teams, such as Development, Projects or Production. Will you come to help us make an impact?

The Program

During the Tech Talent Program you will work as a Project Lead on three different assignments of 6-8 months within our technical teams. You will get the chance to develop your leadership skills and get to know all aspects of our PlantLab technology. As an example, you’ll work on the development of brand new processes and designs within our Development team, manage a team of production personnel within our Amsterdam farm, or you’ll get the chance to travel to a brand new location in the US or Europe to support the construction of a new farm. You’ll have complete ownership of your projects, but don’t worry, you’ll receive plenty of support from experienced coworkers. We also fully believe in making mistakes as a way of learning! With your Tech Talent Group you’ll also work on some large never been done before questions on circularity and sustainability. You’ll get the chance to really make a difference in the way we build the circular farms of the future. Together with your fellow Next Generation of Growers you’ll receive coaching and training courses to develop skills such as Project Management, leadership, presentations skills, giving constructive feedback, etc. The Tech Talent program will give you the chance to shape the future of PlantLab and help you become one of our future leaders.

Company values

As a person you are pragmatic and street smart; you know how to get things done, are not easily discouraged and “cannot” is not part of your vocabulary. You are a creative thinker who dares to think beyond the standard, and can’t wait to implement your ideas at PlantLab. You are a self starter and don’t wait but investigate, ask and just do it. With your positive mindset you convey ideas well and get the other team members and PlantLab teams easily on board. You know when to take the lead and when to be part of the team just like an authentic natural leader. You are self-aware and able to reflect on your own behavior.
