[Kvasir] HyTEPS Lunch Lecture

The HyTEPS lunch lecture will be the 27th of March and not the 13th of March as said in the career mail

"Analysis of energy losses in weak stand-alone offshore networks due to poor Power Quality"

Weak networks - such as offshore installations - usually suffer more from bad Power Quality phenomena such as harmonic distortions, frequency instability and flicker. Offshore installations also have a relatively high amount of non-linear sources such as frequency drives. In these environments it is clear that solutions improving the quality of electricity are extremely important in order to enforce the reliability of electrical power supply. By improving cos phi and lowering harmonic currents, both operational and maintenance costs are lowered and fuel costs and CO2 emissions reduced. We provide quantative data, based on scientific research.

Lunch and drinks will be provided for the attendees.

You can sign up for the lecture here or by sending a mail to kvasir@thor.edu. The last part will not be possible after the subscriptions have closed.
